Mark Shelley is
the founder of Specialminds, an organization dedicated to providing
information and multimedia resources that offer immediate assistance to
families and
professionals dealing with the everyday issues that come with a diagnosis
of an autistic
spectrum disorder.
Mark has been a featured speaker at Autism conferences across the country
including the Autism Society of America’s national conference. He
has also been the subject of several television news stories. Mark and his
wife Teresa just celebrated their 27th wedding
anniversary and are the proud parents of three children, Vickie, Lisa and
Paul who was
diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome when he was 5.

Carol Gray is the
Director of The Gray Center for Social Learning and Understanding. In 1991,
Carol developed Social Stories™
and Comic Strip Conversations strategies that are used worldwide with children,
adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
She has published several resources on topics related to children and adults
with ASD, including articles on bullying death and dying, and how to teach
social understanding. Carol is the recipient of the Barbara Lipinski Award
for her international contribution to the
education and welfare of people with ASD.
