Tony Attwood, Ph.D

Dr. Tony Attwood is a clinical psychologist whose original qualifications were achieved in England and who now lives in Queensland, Australia. He has specialized in autistic spectrum disorders since 1975, and achieved a Ph.D. from the University of London in 1984. He currently works in private practice and is Adjunct Professor at Griffith University, Queensland. His book, Asperger Syndrome: A guide for Parents and Professionals has become one of the primary texts on Asperger's Syndrome. The book has been translated into twenty languages and has sold over three hundred thousand copies worldwide. Dr. Attwood's current clinical interest is in developing diagnostic procedures and Cognitive Behavior Therapy for children and adults with Asperger's Syndrome.
